Is there no zoom on the video camera? I'm not talking about optical zoom...that would be asking too much without even an autofocus lens on the camera. But if we're recording in high-def already, surely we have some some resolution we could spare for a digital zoom? Wouldn't it be nice while recording to be able to pinch and expand right on the touchscreen? How difficult would this be to program in there? Surely we have the technology.
Maybe there are aftermarket video camera apps available that do this already?

In the manual - the volume keys

"• Before you take a picture or record a video, press the top or bottom
key to zoom in or out."

The manual is wrong. There is no zoom in the video camera.

This doesn't work on my phone. BTW, I am running .576
I think the version of the OS might make a difference here.

It won't work on any 9900/9930, and the OS makes no difference either... there is no zoom feature in the video camera.

rim didn't care about autofocus.do you really think they cared about implementing a zoom feature for the video camera on this?don't think so.if you want a brilliant camera, then go for the torch or ios.there you can fondle with pics without being upset with clarity.will have to see what rim does with the camera in bbx.they should go with higher pixels and autofocus.
