I have my Z10 on a legacy BIS data plan. I would like to setup a wifi hot spot on my Z10 for my 9900 to utilize. Can I somehow get Hotmail email and calendar sync on my 9900 via this setup?

I currently don't have a sim in my 9900 (only 1 sim in my z10) to test this setup. I also know that pulling the sim from my Z10 and putting it into my 9900 does work.

Unless you have an app that will sync those items you will not be able to do anything really on the 9900 without a SIM in the device.

What if I got a non-activated SIM for my 9900? Would that change anything?

Would not change a thing as the device itself would not be registered on the RIM NOC.
