Those Chinese batteries for 9 dollars shipped that claim 2000 mah for the same size is just lying. Don't you think RIM, if at all possible, could include a 2000 MAH battery for the same size and claim this baby to have the longest battery life on the market? It would have been suicide to do otherwise. Most of those batteries are re-used batteries, a couple of batteries in one. I mean, look at how thick it is! It's soooo thin! I have a 2000 mah battery from Samsung for my SGS2 (extended battery with a slightly larger backdoor) and I'll take some pictures at some time and show you that you need to increase the size to accommodate the MAH.

There is no way you can get more power out a two batteries that are the same size using the same chemistry.
The Chinese are making fools of you!

Please share the link,
I bought 1500mah battery...physically it is very slightly thicker...seems works ok i get around 15% more of usage than standard jm-1, taken out from charger 9am and by 10pm i still left 30% with lots of bbm usage and connected to 3G all the time. If the 1800mah really works that would be goodLast edited by hanto; 10-31-2011 at 10:23 AM.

Remember guys and gals, China is the land of legal knockoffs. The home of the legendary Blueberry's that come with 2 sims, tv and fm radio. Buyers beware!

I still think they are "fudging" on the specs. If there was any way for Blackberry's battery maker to cram more power into the battery, they would have done it years ago.
You can do more to lengthen your phone battery use by controlling consumption.

Hehehe i believe seidio and couple others also have this kind of "extended" battery that same size as standard battery (not yet for 9900)
If they could do it i don't see why others cannot.....anyway the one manufacture the battery probably the same, i don't think seidio has their own factory to make those batteries. I might be wrong though...
Anyway...after trying the battery for couple days, the extra capacity is there but still need to carry another battery incase needed... - 11-01-2011, 11:33 AM #17

I bought a 3600mAh battery for my 9930 on eBay. No problems so far. Yes, you have to use the larger back cover, but that doesn't bother me as it seems to bother others on here. I am happy with the results - I can go at least a couple of days between charges with moderate all-day use.
