Sorry, you're right. Samsung and HTC will have some great devices in late summer/early fall of 2013. Great for all of us coming off our 2yr contracts around then. My worry is that a full size qwerty keyboard may be obsolete by then. Even by RIM

No full size qwerty = No reason to buy BB for me no matter what the OS is.

If the OS 10 Bold has the 9900/9930 form factor then I definitely will get one. I must maintain my full qwerty keyboard.

I am hoping for a BB10 bold if they come out with one. In my opinion if rim goes all touch screen it will be a big failure for them.

After years of agressive advertising BB to my friends and family and the current state of things...
...I would absolutely wait and see what they put out and absolutely TEST it via a seed device like I did the 9930.
...If it sports an edof camera, can't download and open every .pdf my iphone or a droid can.
...AND if it still lacks the ability to send the same size of email an iphone or droid can.
...Lacks Skype or Google maps - then the answer is NO - no dice.

If RIM would to be able to "catch up" to what I have now in the iphone 4s then I would come back.....
...And a whole host of other people would as well.
A reluctant iPhone 4s user who would STILL be a Blackberry user had RIM not messed it's own bed by putting a "Fisher Price Camera" in it's "flagship" Blackberry Bold 9930.

First BB10 device will be full touch screen, with the first BB10 keyboard device coming around 4Q of 2012.

I'll stick to what I'm currently using right now, until it ceases to function, until I choose to upgrade to a brand spanking new blackberry.

I appreciate and am ever so glad I have what I'm using now, if I wasn't, I wouldn't have anything at all.

But I'll be happy to test out the next biggest/best thing any day in store.

This thread is stupid on so many levels. Not all the features or even the devices have been launched yet so how can you compare them. That being said why not get a basic phone and save the $30 a month you are spending and $360 per year from the data packages. Everyone is getting a smart phone theses days you can jsut always ask your friend if you need to look up something.

I used to think this a few months ago. I bought a Ipod touch for a MP3 player because I got sick and tired of my 9930 not working for me when I wanted to listen to music via bluetooth (if there is a interruption, music does not start back up automatically)

I have found that the apple product is very easy to navigate, apps that work, and facetime. BBM would be cool, IF I had any friends or family that had a BB.

My Playbook and 9930 are ok devices, but everyone I know or communicate with has Iphones........

I will ride out current contract, then see what is best product on the market at that time, IF, and big IF, the BB10 is all that they claim, Maybe, just Maybe I will try it. Blackberry burned me with the Bold 9930, claiming it was the bomb..... its a bomb alright. I personally have not had good luck with it, worst BB I have had yet, which it is my 4th BB. I really see me going to the other side come upgrade time.
IMHO, if you live in canada, BB may be a better choice, but here in the states, seems that Droid and Apple have better apps and support. I have this opinion due to we have 4 smart phone in the house, I (one with the BB9930) have more issues than all other 3 phones combined. Icloud works, BB protect does not.

Having the dilemma that my 9700 is due for an ipgrade in a few weeks...

Do love the design of the 9900 and getting that on a 24 month contract was the plan. But hearing Thorsten say that they'll definitely be a QWERTY BB10 has left me in limbo..

    a) take the 9900 on a 24 month contract

    or

    b) stick with the 9700 for 12 months pocketing the £200 that I'd save & hope I love the QWERTY BB10 as much as I do the 9900??

Eh, the TK design is nice looking but me personally I wouldn't get it if it was ever to become a real BB10 phone. The screen to keyboard ratio makes the keyboard look smaller
    & I don't really like that idea.
I'd like for them to keep the size of the 99XX Bolds but somehow incorporate BB10 into that. But that's just me.

Sprint is coming out with a new HTC Evo 4G LTE. It looks so nice! But I refuse to go back to Android lol.
