It's your money, you choose what you want. There's not much wrong if you know how to keep your device non-laggy, and keep updated with the OS. Go into the store and look at every device before you choose, note that in-store devices are usually slow because everyone messes with them but still. I would say go for it.

I would say go try out an Android device, you have time to return it and exchange for a Bold if you don't like it.

i would say yes, but there are users that would say no.
it all depends on each user and their devices on how it would work out.
9780 to 9900 and still loving it. so the choice is yours to make.
if you know the pro's and con's then i'm sure it wouldn't be that hard.

Blackberry phones are very reliable, no major issues so far with the 9900/9930 so if you like the phone get it and don't worry. It also has a one year warranty so if something is going to break it would probably be in the first year.

At least you know it won't break if you drop it like an iPhone having glass on the front AND back, I've dropped my 9900 multiple times and no damage.

Get it, get insurance. Sh*t happens to All new technology. Backup and login to BB ID and you have no worries. My original bricked after 4 months, replaced with better build next day. Loaded backup, logged into BB ID and everything was back where it should be in no time at all. Its only devastating if you don't backup and don't have insurance and most of all, don't know how to deal with it. I love my bold and don't care if it bricks. I'll just get another. To me its all worth it to have the BB of my dreams!
