Forgive me if this has been covered before, I searched and didn't see it.

Yesterday I upgraded from the Bold 9650 (OS6) to the Bold 9930 (OS 7.1...163). The 9930 Wi-Fi indicator is showing the signal at 0-1 bars while on the house network. Previously, the 9650 would maintain anywhere from 2-3 bars depending on location in the house. Right now I have both phones side by side and see they 9650 showing 3 bars and the 9930 showing 1.

Also, of interest to me, is it shows the Optimum Wi-Fi HotSpot signal in the same manner with the 9930 having 1 bar less in signal than the 9650.

Has anyone noticied or experienced this? I am trying to understand if it is a bug, or both phones actually have the same signal strength just not displaying the same due to a change in measuring or registering the signal or maybe something else going on.

All that aside, I do find the 9930 to load pages quickly. No compalints there.

    Thanks for any help.

There is a new leaked OS for the 9930 which may give you better results than the stock OS you have installed.
