    Hello,

    I need help

    I have Unlocked Blackberry 9900

    MODEL: RDV71UW
    IC: 2503A - RDV70UW

I bought this online, I live in Canada I am using FIDO their network

Your device must be compatible with the Fido network, which uses GSM, UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+ at 850 MHz and 1900 MHz and LTE at 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz.

I can't use with them why? I put sim card but no signal, I am confused please help... Thanks

This is not the UMTS 850/1900/2100 variant of the 9900, but the 900/1700/2100. And then, no 9900 is LTE capable. It will get 3G/HSPA+ on the AWS carriers--Wind, Mobilicity, Vidotron.

That being said...does your phone not even show 2G? I thought Rogers was a GSM network...

That model number, RDV71UW, corresponds with the model that works with T-Mobile on their 3G network... It may work on Wind Mobile.

Unfortunately you do not have the right model of the 9900 to use with Fido.

Is this still the case for that model 9900 not working with fido pay as you go?

If you don't want to move to Freedom (Wind) , which by the way I'm very happy with, let me know if you want to unload that 9900. I could always do with a backup! :-)

I hate that darn 9900! I have a stock of new phones waiting to be used, but every time I use that 9900, it makes me want to just stay on that old phone. I dunno what it is, there's just all these little things that make it so nice to use...

    I think they've moved on since 2014.
