I was in a large retailer today and was told they sell out in the first 30 minutes every time they get a stock. I proceeded to 2 different carriers and was told they were constantly cleaned out other than the display model.

    I have learned two things:
    1. Getting my 9900 is going to be harder than I expected.
    2. Blackberry is no where near dead as phones like the Galaxy S 2 have been in stock since its launch day.

This device should start the comeback or blackberry. But RIM needs to keep up with more marketing on the new devices.

I'm scanning my local craigslist religiously to find a 9900 for a decent price. Not many up for sale though

what i do notice is quite a few ads wanting to trade iPhone for 9900 and the odd android device for a 9900.

    Edit:

Also started to see more 9900 out in the wild then any other BB.

I usually get my phones at least a week before their release dates. 9930 was no different. My friend waited untill the release day and went in on her lunch break, and they were sold out. Early bird gets the worm!!

The real question is how many 9930 buyers are previous BB users? That will determine how much BB is actually GROWING instead of just selling to people who are upgrading their BB.

Tons of them for sale in BC but I think Toronto they're hard to find which is a larger business centre than all of BC.

I had the Storm since it launched, then the Storm2 since it launched, and I just upgraded to the 9930 last night. It's seriously fast and awesome! Keyboard is perfect (and this coming from someone who loved SurePress on the Storm2 and never wanted or liked the keyboard on the 9650).

My wife and I bought 9810's instead of the 9900, but we both came from other devices. I switched from a windows phone, it was fun loading roms and customizing it, but I was tired of doing that and the new windows really didn't appeal to me. I was actually attracted to the BB OS and really want a phyiscal keyboard as my windows phone was all touch, the 9810 hit the spot.
