What's your hold up ? Any os 7.1 from a different carrier is the same! They all come from RIM not the carrier makes them. It's just that the carrier approves it... you are simply wasting your own time waiting

When BB10 hits, that's when Rogers will release 7.1 officially.

You read it here first. LoL

Why wait? You can do it yourself. I'm on Bhell and I'm on .342, which they haven't released.

You are holding up yourself. You make yourself wait, don't be foolish and update it to one of the latest 7.1's or wait for ages.

What's it really matter. Download and install an OS from another carrier and be done with it.

I have a friend who is very sad that her white and sexy 9900 only lasts 6 hours on normal use. She is running that old version from Rogers.

If the phone is locked, can she upgrade to 7.1? I understand all she'd need to do is remove the vendor.xml file from the OS software installation that hosts BB Desktop Manager? This would be an upgrade to 7.1.0.267.

Isn't there 3 or 4 of these threads already? I know there's one in the rogers section forsure. Like others said use one of the other carriers it works fine. I am using. 342

Yes, just do it! Except don't stop at .267, go all the way to .342, which is the newest release.

100s of Rogers' users are using the official build from another carrier without issue. The best bet would be to contact Rogers and ask them when/if they plan on releasing 7.1 officially.
