Maybe DM will not work if you do not have an active data plan.
Run Vendelete and try app laoder again.
ok i will try, but still it will worked without DM?
No reason app loader should not work if the Vendor files are gone.
I have notice in my 9930 there is no SOFTWARE UPDATE menu in the Option>Device>, maybe verizon customized this unit...by updating to OS7.1 the original settings from RIM might be restored?:(
My unit is a 2nd hand bold9930 from verizon wireless. I successfuly unlocked and working very well with philippine network provider. When I turn off and on the unit the display prompt VERIZON WIRELESS. I explore my unit and I observed several RIM application not included such as compass, software update, NFC, etc. I have difficulty in updating my OS to version 7.1. When I downloaded the software update from sprint, verizon, etc then I connect my device to PC for desktop manager but it will not worked it prompted only for active subscriber. I really need to restore the unit as completely with all RIM applications and erasing the verizon start up display. Also I need to update this to OS7.1. Any help please, give me a detailed steps/procedure please. Hope it will not broke my phone coz I'm proud having this unit. Please, please....
It is possible to skip the nos. 3,4,5,6,7 & 9 under the ELITE1 procedure?
So are they pretty much identical? I want one with t-mobile, but i want the best and am not sure which is better?
Thanks, Reagan
Skype works for voice calls (like it does on android) (over both 3G and wifi) but not video calls on Verizon 9930. It is the only BB device I know that skype works natively.
Skype does not work on the 9900 nor on any BB device I know.
I dont think skype works on non-Verizon 9930
Skype does not work over WiFi on Verizon. It only works on the carrier network. It uses the voice channel. And thus it uses your voice minutes. No video calling. Skype works on all Verizon BlackBerry phones while they are on the Verizon network and in the US.
Also, the Skype BlackBerry app works on BlackBerry phones on 3 in the UK and Telkomesel in Indonesia. It does not work on any other carriers on BlackBerry currently.
