What's the best reboot/restart app?
What's the best reboot/restart app? I would prefer a free one (who wouldn't?) but am willing to buy one that will do the job with minimal clicks and minimal ads.

Both AOS and QL are excellent. Both offer other functions. Both are must have apps IMHO.

Re: What's the best reboot/restart app?
Or if you guys are just doing it to clear caches...
Go to Options>Security>Advanced Security Settings>Memory Cleaning
Use this built in app to clean memory and caches. You can also add an icon to your home screen for quick memory cleaning. (not sure if OS5 has that)
Also: hold alt and type lglg. You can hold bb button and a clear log option is there. Not as important though. Just a little extra cleaning.
And if you just want to do a battery pull then just turn it off and do a battery pull. Or like the ppl before me said with three finger salute. Don't need extra apps for this. Its already there. - 01-19-2013, 01:38 PM #14
Left alt - right aA - del , just seems so much easier.

+1. It has to be already included in an existing application like QuickLaunch or something.
I would not load a totally separate application just for this single function alone.
Even though I use QuickLaunch multiple times a day, I still don't actually use it for reboots...MY TAKE ON THE BOLD 9900... I DON'T KNOW HOW, OR WHY, BUT IT WORKS!!!

What's the best reboot/restart app?
Don't waste your time mucking around with all the led color changing 2.5 trick ponies, just buy QuickLaunch and you will be amazed at all the things you can do with that App!

I use Reboot Device Pro. It only takes up like 234kb and it reboots my device at a certain time everyday by itself and acts as a reset button. I haven't had any problems with it. Seems like it should of been a feature on the phone already lol.

installing an app is just 1 more thing to cause system issues or spam. like phill said "3 finger shuffle"

Assuming you bathe daily, a 3 finger salute before entering is all you need.
Memory Clean - Useful if you work for DoD, or any other sensitive employment, when you use a password, and want to eliminate it from RAM. While it may make you feel good, it does nothing that the OS doesn't already do on it's own. Garbage collection for RAM is fairly efficient on OS7. What isn't is ROM cache recovery. Transient data builds, and when it maxes ROM out, there's nothing else but rebooting that will cure it. Speed to capacity varies based on use, apps and unicorns in the vicinity.
Event Log - it used to maintaining a 200Kb of the most current activity, but it could be as high as an insignificant 300Kb now. The second you clear it, it begins refilling, and quickly. I can't imagine it taking long at all to refill.
If you want it to reboot at night, alt/aA/del when you don't want a shower in the morning will get'r done.WAPers do it With A Passion
