Going to pick up a new Bold 9900 from AT&T this week. Going to use my iphone 4s as an ipod touch. What software version is shipping with the 9900 and is it good ?

Got mine about a week ago with .440, and upgraded it to .576 the next day.

So far, so good. Lovin' it.
(Except for the battery issue, but I'm not gonna start on that subject.)

So, battery life is the same with both software versions ?

Can't really make a comparison between the two, as I only had the .440 on it for one day before upgrading the OS.

I charged it overnight (while turned off), and about twelve hours so far today (moderate number of e-mails - all receiving, none sent), 1/2 dozen or so phone calls, and a little bit of surfing, I'm at about 40% charge right now. Not bad, but not great either.

My 9700 under similar usage would have been at least 60%.

    Guess time will tell.

I ran 440 from the release date until 576 came out. I can't tell the difference. Both had great battery life and my calls and messages go through.
