Smart choice in my opinion I know some love and swear by their torches but I've always been a "bold" guy love the bold and will be switching back to it when I get back from overseas and my playbook is in the mail can't wait for it!!!!!

I wasn't a big fan of the 9850. The touchscreen only wasn't for me. I did own a 9810 that I really liked, but then I got a 9900 and I love it. Waiting on the BB10, but not sure which model I'm gonna go with. The Playbook is awesome IMO. I use mine for everything.

It's just proof that you're not a touch screen type of user. Not everyone is comfortable using an on-screen keyboard.

i dont think i will get a playbook as i like my samsung galaxy tab 2...but i will eventually get a nice new BB10 device...and retire my Bold 9930 and Torch 9850!

The torch 9850 gives you the largest possible screen on a blackberry along with the blackberry experience sans the physical kb. I've actually become quite used to it and prefer my torch over my bold.
