Default What to expect using a Rogers Unlocked 9900 on AT&T Network (in the US)? Problems?

    Hello everyone!

Finally I'm buying a blackberry again because i miss blackberries so much! The last blackberry i had was back when the original blackberry pearl came out. And then it broke

Anyways, i bought a Rogers white unlocked 9900 off of eBay and i was wondering, will i run into some problems? Will i have to adjust the APN and all that stuff to get the internet to work and the app store etc?? My blackberry is on its way straight from Canada and i just want to have it ready and set if i do need to adjust some settings a bit.

Will updating or upgrading the OS remove the unlock? What custom OS do you recommend?

    Thanks for the help!

You shouldn't have a problem. My only concern that I can think of would be the MIC issue that we've seen on OS 7.1.0.5XX and higher but I would be interested to see if that still exists or is it strictly the AT&T blackberry bold 9900

I'll test this out and see if my phone has MIC issues, my phone is still being shipped and I should be getting it by the end of the week *cross fingers* But i'll report back when i have tested my device.

Awesome.. Yeah I've been wondering for awhile if rogers blackberry 9900's were un affected by this mic issue here on AT&T or is it a hardware issue inside my 9900.

If, unfortunately, you are stricken with the mic issues, I recommend the Official .391 OS from Rogers. You can find the download link by searching on here.
