    If you have a signal, the radio is on. If it says OFF, go into Network Connections and turn on the mobile network.

    Have you tried checking your settings for BBID in Options?

    Options -> Device -> BlackBerry ID

    Or, Universal Search: type ID, select Options -> BlackBerry ID

    Make sure your screen name and email address are correct. Optionally, change password.

    Also, just recalled a post or two: make sure you're not swapping your email for your screen name. BBID on the device wants your email.
