I installed the .342 OS the other day. I believe it is since then, each time my screen times out (30 and now 45 seconds), I have to enter my Password to unlock it even though I have set the Password Option for wait for 30 minutes and now to 45 minutes. As soon as the screen goes dark, if I pick the 9930 up, it wants the password.

It was annoying enough that I just removed the password protection.

I think during the update I may have also removed some "slider password app" but would that matter?

Just want the device to lock after 30 (or 45 minutes) but NOT immediately.

    Appreciate any assistance.

Anyone have suggestions on what I can change so that I do not need to enter a Password as soon as the screen goes blank?

Is that the only issue you've had with 342? I've grabbed both 342 and the leaked 402 but haven't yet loaded either one. That password lock could be a problem for me.

I've only had it a few days. And, frankly, I don't know if the OS affected the password timeout or something else. Battery life seems much improved.

I did not pre-shrink but yesterday used DM to remove a slew of foreign language modules and facebook, bbm music and similar stuff!

I don't normally have a password set, and I just installed the leaked .402 and enabled password protect and it works like it's suppose to.
