I donwloaded swannview
to Blackberry 9000

but am having problems getting it to work

keep getting "Connect Server Fall" (sic)

I have a static IP address and am using port 85 in the settings (tho it has failed using other ports aswell)

Would love some support as the helpline is effectively non existant

I just got off the phone with swann support. Try port 40085 or 4900x (x = number between 1 and 9)
I am behind a sonicwall tz215 and using swann dvr9-4200.
The tech remotely reconfigured/changed the settings on the dvr from port 85 to 40085
I now have remote connection from IE browser; chrome does not work. I have not tested this via my bb 9930 or z10

no that doesn't seem to work

port number is 9000 on the dvr
mine is DVR4-4000
you can get chrome browser to work by searching for "Active x" in chrome store - there is an app ActiveX for Chrome
which works well but wont work on chromebox/chromebook - which is a pain but there you are

Thanks phil_d for the chrome browser tip... I'll try that.
Last night I downloaded swannview from play store on a new nexus 7 and it worked. My initial setup had the default ports of 9000, 85 and 18004 but support changed it...not sure because I'm using a sonicwall.
He emailed me a couple of PDF docs on how to setup swannview on android and iPhone... If you pm me I can forward them to you.
