Not sure how, but I've got the Telenav app and I don't know if I like it.

Do you print these NFC tags out from somewhere? I'm new to this NFC feature and don't know how to utilize it for its full potential. How does it work? I've heard about tapping the phone against an NFC-enabled device/thing.

i never touch my sound profile settings because i have these handy stickers stuck around everywhere. simply tap the phone to the sticker and it's done. 1 in the office to put my phone in silent, 1 in the car to activate the normal sound profile and 1 on my bedside table to activate bedside mode.

I use SixTools integrated screen shot application! Works great for me and it has more goodies on it.

Check it out if it's something for you but it's a PAID one but a good one.

Buy SixTools - Utils for OS6 and OS7 - Download SixTools - Utils for OS6 and OS7 - Buy Apps from BlackBerry App World

The tags can be found from various vendors online, just google "NFC tags" and you should find some. There are a few different types (outdoor/metal-resistant etc.) so choose the right one for the situation. Basically you can write code to the stickers to perform certain functions like toggle wifi on/off, open a new sms, open an application etc. The shortcutme app already has quite a few codes as templates so its pretty easy to write basic functions. After you get a handle of that its up to your imagination what your tags will do for you.

Ha... maybe. I had it in the past prior to QuickLaunch. No need for two things that do the same thing.

I used to use it but thot I had read somewhere it didn't work on OS7. I have QuickLaunch so I have no need, but it's good to know that it is compatible. CaptureIt always worked great!

I have the bad habit of syncing my organizer and backing up on a daily basis on my home PC and work PC. But in your case, I feel ya.

I don't trust BB Protect. After reading posts about failed restore attempts I will always use DM. The problem with BB protect is that it will not know if the connection dropped for a second that it only backed up part of your data. And the real kicker is you won't know either until you try to restore and half of your contacts are missing, or worse. The DM has always worked and has gotten better.
