What happens when you plug it into a laptop/pc? Or into the wall for that matter?

Nothing happens when I plug it on the laptop/pc or in the wall socket

You wouldn't happen to have a spare battery to pop in?

I have a black screen with no input whatsoever, no error message was presented. It just switched itself off for no reason.
It isn't app related as I haven't added/deleted any app for a while.

I'll pop in although you may have already tried stuff.

If you plugged it into the wall charger, how long did you leave it plugged in. I've found that if the battery is totally depleted, it can take half an hour or so before it shows any sign of life. This happened with both my 9930 and with my Earlier Bold (can't remember its number!). Absolutely black screen and no signs of life!

Are you sure that your charger is working? Socket?

If you have a backup, it should be able to be restored to a new device. The SD card can be moved unless it was encrypted - from what I've read, encryption is specific to the specific phone!

    Good luck

I plugged it in the wall socket and left it for at 2 days, changed charger left it for another day. Bought a new battery and left it for 1 day.

The socket is working has I have charged other devices.

It must be something phone related, I just don't know what and why it happened.

I found out in BlackBerry official forum, another user with the same problem, but no solution was presented. I wonder it its a common issue?

That is a blow, I was hopping that I would recover all the data even encrypted one. I always encrypt my data.

    Thanks
