Just downloaded 7.1 device software for my bold 9900 phone from official software download page for my country Zambia. How do I update my device which still has 7.0.

And what is the one you downloaded? You might want to get the .523 - the installation process is the same, except of deleting the vendor files.

How did this work for you?

The official version for your carrier, Airtel Zambia, is 7.1.0.342. Was this already on your 9900?

To see your current OS, press ALT+SHIFT+H from any screen to open the Help Me! screen. 3rd line down where it says App Version is your current OS.
Or in any typing field of any native app, type myver then SPACE to see your current OS.
