updating my bb 9900 help.?

right i have a system update available when i plug my phone into my computer and on the desktop manager it says there is an uodate but last time i updated it, it says it backed all my files up and that then when it had finished updating i went back on to my phone and my BBM had no contacts my apps was there but had to all be re opened to be used and activated again so i just want to know what i can do to stop this and just do a normal update and nothing get changed .. ? thanks

you can change this is part of the update so it will wipe everything and when you back up it just restores the app to default you cant change this :) with the new BBM7 by the way it saves your contacts automatic so you don't have to re add them all =]
