    Hi bb-ppl

Yah. I think its a bit too long.. THe latest leaked is 7.1.0.267 so why are you using the 7.1.0.258??

Anyway, time to find out how to recover from a bricked BB phone.

    Thanks sharma.

BB-Desktop says "Waiting for connection or signal" (soft translation from german "Warten auf Netz")

I am conducting the update through the BB-Desktop software. Did not restart my comp after installing the update. Deleted Vendor.xml though. I returned to BBerry a fews days now after 1,5 years, so dont know the new methods..

So, it's too long, right? I'll unplug it, and see what happens. From what i remember, i think it's stuck in the "recover/restore"-mode.

Are you using the correct OS for the 9900 ?

I have not seen a leak of .258 for this phone.

    @Charles, also many thanks.

    I used the .258-Version because it was released by T-Mo, and i bought a T-Mo device ...

Just unplugged it. Not a brick yet, just the home screen and the old v7.0-Version ...

So, it [update process] begins (again)

Ahh good to know everything is working well now... For me, usually each update should not take more than 30 mins.

As chaddeus said! Also try to reboot your computer, and then try.

    Thanks for the help, guys

Did a computer reboot. Started everything again. Running smoothly now. The computer reboot did the trick for me.

Will post again after i'm done for future references if anyone encounters the same problem.

not to sound like a d**k, but there is a button for thanks and likes lol...just sayin'

Glad to hear your phone is up and running. I personally think that .267 is probably the most stable OS...that's just me though.

Just a quick question for everyone who has tried both the .205 and the .267 leaks. Any significant advantages of one over the other?

Begging for someone to Thank You, does make you sound like one. Does it not make you feel a little cheap, begging, or is a ThankYou rating THAT important?
