I have a 9900 QWERTZ made in mexico 4. I have it for 2 months now, and it worked fine.
I noticed a battery life improve on every new OS , I'm actually running .540 and battery (cells made in Japan) lasts for 16-20h with heavy texting/browsing use; 2G and Wifi on.
I charge it overnight on the pod, and I didn't wake up (yet) with a nuked/briked Blackberry. Let's knock on wood.

My only concern is about an uneven keyboard backlight; left keys are brighter than the others.

    Is anyone experiencing the same?

I have uneven backlight too. Half the keys are dull/dim looking. It sucks, you'd think RIM's flagship would be a lot better.

My first 9930 was absolutely perfect. Except that it nuked itself and I went for a new one.
My second one, the one I have now, has the uneven keyboard lights too. It's a cosmetic flaw that doesn't bother me. I have a friend who told me that it's an indication of a larger problem, but I'm going to wait this out. So far this device seems solid enough. We'll see.
