    Hey

I bought BB 9900 under contract from Etisalat on Sept 14th 2011.(1300 down payment and 150 per month for 12 months , postpaid connection.)

And il be leaving to India on 20th July 2012.

I rang up Etisalat and they told me that if I want to break the contract even one day before 14th Sept 2012 I would have to pay 1300 AED.

If I leave the sim card here in Dubai and make my friend pay the installment in Aug and Sept and cancel the contract in Sept.

Can I unblock the phone in India for 2 months and use it.?

Will etisalat be able to find out .?

I wont be breaking or running away from the contract...

    Thanks

Yes, you can unlock the phone. Use this link. It works. The phoe will remain unlocked forever and will then work on any GSM network you have a SIM card for.

Sure, you can unlock your Blackberry Bold 9900 and use it with a SIM card from another carrier in another country. they can't know about it (the original carrier). and it's all good for them also (they don't even care as long as you pay).

You should get your Blackberry unlocked if you want to use another carrier.
It's all right and it's legal and it's your mobile device, not your carrier's.
