Unable to hear voicecalls ringtone when using media player with headset

I have my "sounds" set at normal.

When I plug-in my headset & use the media player, listening to tracks :

( 1 ) I DO NOT get the ringtone of the incoming voicecalls via the headset but only rings loud via the phone's speaker

BUT

( 2 ) I get all sound notifications for all emails, BBM messages, Text messages

What could be the problem ?

I haven't used my headphones much with my Bold yet, but the phone call behavior was the same with my Tour. I don't think the other alerts played through my headphones either though.

The music playing should pause while the alert sound plays, then resume once the alert finishes.

I'm not sure if there is a way to adjust it, but it isn't a glitch it was the way it was designed.

You are correct - the music pauses while the alert sounds come thru and then, the music resumes.

And - the same should happen with the voicecall ringtone too BUT it doesn't.

Wonder why ? Or am I doing something wrong ...

No, you are not doing anything wrong. The media player pauses, the ring tone comes through the loud speaker, answer the call and you can converse using the headset. There are no settings to chang this.
