U.S Price Estimates?
How much do you think that the new BB 99xx will cost in the US?
I'm guessing maybe $200-$250?

$199 on contract.

I agree with $200 with contract and $600 to $650 without.

If it actually ends up being $500...that'd be an amazing price.

I'd consider not using my phone-upgrade for $500. I wouldn't mind be a non-contract, month-by-month kinda guy again. Two year contracts feel very committal!
I've never looked into what it costs to walk away from a two year contract, though. It might all work out to be the same cost (buying phones outright with no contract vs. just paying to break a contract) - 07-25-2011, 02:09 PM #11
I think that anything over $500 off contract is a bit high. Sorry RIM, but you aren't Apple. There's a lot of great stuff in your phone but it's not much different than OS 6.

generally Blackberries still retain the brand value and are only second to apple, have you looked at ebay to see what is the on going price for a used Torch is and how the previous sales are? agree not as good as Apple but close to it, I sold my 1 year old Torch for $300 last week and now I am waiting for 9900. Android devices have the worst resale value , you can get captivate, Thuderbolt below $200 on ebay.

Everyone knows non-contract price is completely non-reflective of the gadget's true market worth. It's priced artificially high in order to encourage you into a contract. You can get a decent tablet for the same price, what does that tell you?
