I have a simulatenous dual band router. I have both the N and G networks programmed into the 9900. The phone and my laptop are the only two things around capable of using the N radio.

I know the Wi-Fi bars don't really mean squat. Here's the signal strength as seen by the 9900: G is -53 dBm and pretty constant. N is -68 to -75 dBm.

As far as G goes, I have two printers, XBox and Bluray all on G, though no more than 2 devices would conceivably be used at he same time, if ever.

My 9900 wants to default to the N network when I am home.

    1. Is there a way to have the 9900 default to a specific band first? A priority setting?

    2. Does the 9900 analyze and decide what is best?

    3. The N band normally shows 2-3 "bars," and the G is usually 4, but goes to 3. Is the weaker--but uncluttered--N band actually faster for data? Or, the stronger G band, regardless of two other users?

    4. My wife and I both have 9900s. Should they stay on different radios since they are always "polling" something?

    Thanks,

    Seth
