    I've got a BB9930 and have been using the Twitter app on it for a few years. Been working great until the past few days. It used to be that when someone sent me a DM i get it immediately. The last few days I no longer get it immediately but an notified of the DM at the interval I set to check for new tweets within the app. Like if I have it set to check every 10 minutes. Not sure what has happened. I've tried uninstalling the twitter app then reinstalling and also pulling the battery. No change. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Me neither. I can tell you that DM's on UberSocial are working for me today.

    I even tried a restore from a backup I made months ago. Still doesn't work. Might have to try a secure wipe then reinstall everything. Not sure what else to do.

    I had the same thought. If they haven't already, it might be worth the OP going to Twitter via web browser and carefully review the settings pages
    https://twitter.com/settings/account

    They could try revoking access for the BlackBerry app via https://twitter.com/settings/applications and then reenable from the handset

    Thanks for the reply.

    I think my twitter settings are ok because I installed the twitter app on my iPad and that receives DMs instantly. I will try doing the revoking access and then reenable to see if that helps.

    I even tried creating a new twitter account and not changing the settings. Still not getting instant DMs. Could it be a problem with the Service Books?

    Btw, is anyone using the twitter app with a 9930 or 9900?

    Yes, I'm using the Twitter app on my 9900. Can't say that I've tried to DM recently but haven't previously experienced any problems.

    Please let me know when you get another DM if it's immediate or not. I want to rule out that it's not something Twitter has done since the app hasn't been updated in so long for our 99XXs. Maybe they did something to their system that broke something in this old app....

    Well I just did a secure erase of my 9930 and restored from a backup done last year when the twitter DM was working fine. Guess what, still no instant DMs! I give up! Tried everything I can think of. LOL

    I am Using "RSS Twitter Feeds" & I get Instant Notifications on the "Social Feeds App!" Plus can Clck on Links & Access Website to Respond or View info! It Helps if No Text or Email Is Woring!

    Don't Associate Twitter or Facebook with the "BBM App!"! It was Stated that some Providers & Sites/apps were Stopping That Use!
