- I tried out at tmobile, wasn't pleased with softer and cheaper feeling keyboard than on my 9700. Also the touch screen was OK but really didn't feel any more of a web experience than with just the finger pad on my 9700. Have to pass on this model.10-23-11 06:05 PMLike 0
- Everyone has their own opinion, and for me moving from a 9700 to the 9900 the keyboard took about 10 minutes of getting used to.
I actually had to type on the keyboard of my old 9700 (I have given it to a friend) and it is completely night and day! I have no idea how I typed on such small keys for 18 months!! The keyboard on the 9900 wins every day of the week!
As for the touch screen, it again becomes second nature to use instead of the trackpad!
But the 9900 has alot more than just the screen and the keyboard going for it over the 9700...10-23-11 06:21 PMLike 3 - Everyone has their own opinion, and for me moving from a 9700 to the 9900 the keyboard took about 10 minutes of getting used to.

I kept my 9700 as my spare phone for now, and soon it will be given to my son:-)
Just yesterday my 9900 did 507 on me :-( and for one day had to use my good ol' 9700. It is difficult to go back! Totally different keyboard experience!10-24-11 07:02 AMLike 0 - The softer keys make typing feel like a walk on clouds. I love it!!! If you take it home 2 enjoy the device, you'll really see the benefits. Playing at the store for a few minutes doesn't cut it.

Very happy with my choice. Once you get used to the keyboard and the touch screen, the you are good to go! Good luck with your choice!
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com10-24-11 07:12 AMLike 0 - I got fat fingers. The 9700 was a horrible choice for me so main reason why I had an iPhone since I left the 9000 two years ago. But this keyboard with the combo of the touchscreen was the thing that brought me back! Love this phone.10-24-11 08:46 AMLike 0
- I love the touch screen cause using the trackpad to select certain things was getting annoying.
Yes, the 9900/9930 is leaps and bounds better, but i hate that its missing autofocus and better apps.10-25-11 09:07 AMLike 0 -
- My 9930 has the best keyboard I've ever used on any smartphone. Its my 6th different BB over the years and I can say its the first smartphone I've ever owned that I've known I will keep for a while. Coming to this device from a Droid Pro, I became very used to the touchscreen along with a physical keyboard, and the 9930 trackpad just adds one more way to navigate. Love this thing.
