Did my usual handset check for updates this morning and there is nothing available; 7.0 is still current according to the OTA updater.

    BUT...when I plugged in to Desktop Manager to sync my calendar it informed me that an update is available;

    7.1 Bundle 921 (v7.1.0.267, Platform 5.1.0.230)

An update of BlackBerry Device Software version 7.1 is available. This update includes optimizations and enhancements approved by your wireless service provider. Note: If your device is associated with an email account that uses a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, contact your administrator for more information about updating.
    So here we go.............

DM will show a carrier OS update way before it's available from RIM's software download site.

So Mikey... was the update for 7.1?

What you see in the first post is what I know so far; it says v7.1 Bundle 921 (v7.1.0.267, Platform 5.1.0.230)

I had to download an update to Desktop Manager first.

Didn't T-Mobile and Sask Tel already release?

Has ANYBODY else checked their DM yet to see if they have this update? I'm on module 118 now; taking forever......

Leaked version installed relatively quickly, maybe loads of bloatware on the "official" version.

Could just be my internet connection; I'm on rural wireless and it's not particularly fast.

TMO released .205 then pulled it, and SK Telecom released .267 then pulled it... so Telus 'could' be the first

Ok it's confirmed, Telus 7.1 is out.

Mine is still downloading but my sister upgraded hers on a proper broadband conection and her mobile hotspot is functioning.

    Cool.

I assumed SK tel was Sask Tel.

Anyway; Telus is out; I'm installed, everything seems to work. Mobile Hotspot is on-board of course; how do I tell if the wifi calling or UMA is enabled?

I won't get the DM pop up for this because I already have the leaked OS 7.1 installed on my Telus phone. But it would be nice to see an official update from Telus, which used to be like AT&T when it comes to releasing new OS versions for their BlackBerry users.

What version of the OS is pushed to your DM? Is it a newer version than the 7.1.0.267? The RIM's Telus Download page has not been updated yet; https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...84132DE5.node1

    Thank you for the information.

It's .267 and RIM's software download site is always the last place to get updated.

This OS will still show as a 'Recommended' update for you if you use DM.

Yes, I know that the RIM's website updates on downloads are slow. I am going to change my leaked OS .267 to this one because it would be identical. I wonder if Telus is aware of the few bugs I found.

It was a typo... It should read I am NOT going to change my OS to the one that being released by Telus right now because they are identical.
