They told me because I'm such a "valued" customer they would let me pre-order the 9900 for delivery ON the 31ST (actually it was a supervisor who did it) and they only charged me 199 for the entire thing if I agreed to a 2 year extension...I kindly oblidged.
My cc already shows the charge so I know it wasn't a mistake.
So you are excited about PRE-ordering and paying for a phone that everyone will be able to buy at the same time you will get yours. They will not deliver your phone to you until they are available to everyone. If this supervisor say so, he is jerking your leg. You did get the paying for and contract signing over early!
No, I'm excited because they took 100 bucks off the price for a 2 year contract because of my "status" with them as a customer. I guess you missed that part lol... The phones 2 year contract price is 299, they are giving it to me for 199!

If it's anything like ATT, they show a $599.99 price with a "$299.99" 2-yr upgrade cost...then throw in a -$100.00 instant rebate of who knows what reason.
So tell me....why would this "supervisor" allow you to pre-order a device and "give" it to you for a hundred buck less than other people will get (as you claim) when it's released? Your "status"? I don't think so. Just wait until it's released and you'll see the deal you really got. It doesn't matter what the price is now.....what matters is what the price people will pay when released.

WOOT WOOT!!!
It shows you have prepaid for a device you will get in the future with everyone else. All your rep cared about was getting you to re-up on a 2 year contract.
Case in point - I am with AT&T and a Premier customer - as such I get an upgrade every year versus every two years like other customers, but I still pay the same price for the new device, just like anyone else would. Now, sometimes I can get an early upgrade or a better deal on a no-commitment price, but that's about it besides the discount on the service and accessories.

Sadly, I'm afraid you didn't get the deal that you think you did....
But I thought this thing would be substantially less as little as a couple weeks after release? Not so sure about this deal even at a hundo less than retail.
Wow... Why is the OP getting slammed like this? The snarky comments are NOT what Crackberry is about. As the old saying goes, if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. I've stayed away from the forums lately because of a few members and their over-all angry, condescending and just argumentative attitudes. Its really too bad. I used to be on here every day...
Congrats, OP. I hope when I get my 9900 I get the same deal.

If this is the case.. How did you manage to get it? Did you go to a local T-Mobile store? Did you call customer service? I've been with T-Mobile since 2004, and i'd like some upgrades or discounts etc. Am I a "valued" customer?
walked into a T-mo store here yesterday and asked when released and how much will the bb 9900 be going for / knowing most cs dont know anything yet, and dude said on the 31st and in line w most new smart phones coming out at $199. will have to wait and see for sure
I guesss we can take you for your word. I talked to tmobile and they have no information on the phone including pricing. Only thing they know is that they are getting the phone. Not even a release date. So I guess good for you.
