To my knowledge it still has not gone into field testing with AT&T yet.

It already has been cleared by the FCC. There's a thread about it. As well as the 9930.

It has not entered field trial yet with AT&T. Usually devices have FCC approval before they come to the field so hopefully this weeks acceptance by FCC is indicative that we may see it soon...

Thanks PG. I just saw this article from Berry Review about the 9900 dropping in November, which would be three months later than other carriers. I thought the plan was to launch the 9900/9930 on all carriers around the same time. I hope the launch of the Torch2 doesn't hold back the launch of the 9900.

Ouch! The 9900 will sell like crazy over the T2, which will be a nice device but will not sell anywhere near as well as the 9900. I wish the T2 was pushed to a the later date. I will wait no matter how long it takes but it is going to be hard seeing everyone else get it so much sooner than at&t!
