I just got my new shiny 9900. I upgraded it to Rogers 7.1. I don't see any options to change it to 3G or 2G under mobile network. I see in other postings that people with this phone can make the change. Is it AT&T or is it Rogers OS? Arr.

3G/4G is the same thing, so there never was an option to switch to 3G.
AT&T have removed the option to switch to 2G from all current and future OS versions, so you won't see that again.

It's your OS. The current AT&T OS 7.0.0.576 has the option to switch between 3g/4g and 2g.

If you still want a 7.1 OS I would try 7.1.0.74 a lot of the features of the newer OS's won't be in it. But it will at least give you some newer OS software and better battery time then the 7.0 OS's and still give you the 2G only selection option along with 3G/4G. I've been using this OS atleast 5 months with no problems on my AT&T bold 9900

It was never released as an official OS by any carrier.

Search the Leaked OS forum for a thread, you may be lucky and find a link or mirror that is still working.

.74 was only leaked as an Asia version, but it will work fine on your AT&T phone.
