my bold 9900 almost new gives me insert sim/sos ....it was working perfect in dubai.. i have checked by mepd...its unlocked ...i tried several times by putting a piece of paper on top of sim ..even i bought a new sim today but no luck..any help will b much appreciated

could be simcard reader? av you tryed taking it into your nearest store?

maybe..but the phone is almost new..i personally feel its some software problem coz when i go into mobile connections...its stuck into wrong network...like we have 4 carriers here in pakistan..when i place sim of carrier *a* bb chooses carrier *c* n goes into sos mode....ive tried to manually pick the carrier but it tries for sometime then error comes *timed out*

hmm have you tryed reloading your os??

notyet but i will..its current os is 7.0.0.585... i will upgrade to 7.1 is it ok?

yeah youll be surprised in the feel of the os i think its amazing but make sure you do it soon so we can try and help you out further

thank u alot..ive successfully installed OS n device is working smooth n fast with no more insert sim or sos problem
