So it looks like it has a single row of call, send, menu etc button. How does this work? Do they react at a slight touch to them?

I'm certain they are push buttons like all the others. Fondle a Torch for reference.

As palomartian said they are proper push buttons. Just the surface layer is a single strip, but you have to push to click the individual button to work.

I thought that they might have been capacitive, was almost hoping they were. my current htc has them, and its quite pleasant to use, just touch it with any amount of pressure.

Is it like buttons on Torch or 93xx ?? I really don't understand why rim has not given proper buttons like 97xx which looks and feels awesome and don't give you a "plastic" feeling.
