    Thanks, I just purchased it and it works on my Canadian Rogers BB Bold 9900 on OS 7.1.

    However, I was just wondering, is there any plans to make it by default silent the camera without having to hit the menu key and selecting "ShutUp Camera!"? I have my convenience key set to launch ShutUp Camera so I was hoping that buy doing that it would automatically silent the camera instead of still requiring that you hit the menu button and select "ShutUp Camera!". Will a future version support this?

    Good to know that it is working for you! We would definitely try to improve the user experience. However, our first priority now is to try to resolve the current outstanding issues. We would really appreciate a 5 star review comment in AppWorld.

    We have determined the issue and narrowed it down to only OS 7.1.0.163. Unfortunately there is no way we can fix it in that version of the OS as it is beyond our control.

    All OS versions greater than 7.1.0.163 works fine. If your carrier provides an updated version of the OS, please update your OS version to make this app work. If your carrier does not currently allow an OS upgrade, please wait as those carriers will eventually provide an upgrade to your current 7.1.0 OS.

    Sorry for the inconvenience but we've tried everything we could have.

    We have temporarily removed the app from App World but it should go back up by tomorrow.

    We have put it back for sale for all 7.1 devices except 9930 and 9850. It will be available for these two devices again once the app description is updated with a note saying 7.1.0.163 wont work and that all other 7.1 versions will work. Enjoy!

    If enough of us ask for this feature I'm sure it'll get added

    I wanna see that pink CAMERAMUTE background removed OR all made all-black as well (you see it for a second when you exit the camera app.

    Other than that it's working well.

    ShutUpCamera should now be available for 9930 & 9850 as well.

    NOTE: It would not work on OS 7.1.0.163. If you have 7.1.0.163, please do not purchase it unless you can wait until your OS upgrade.

    App works great. I'm a little curious why it shows up as $0.99 on appworld but on my receipt it shows $1.99?

    Sorry to hear that. It may have something to do with AppWorld/PayPal cache and the price change propagation to different regions. In our vendor portal, we have it as $.99. It might be worth contacting appworld or digital river customer service.

    We would really appreciate a 5 star review on AppWorld.

    by the way there's a side effect after using shutup camera when I make/receive a call they cannot hear me.

    I'm in the US on Sprint with 9930 so I don't know why the price would change. I too experienced the problem with someone not being able to hear me on the phone. My OS version is 7.1.0.267.

    I've been having the exact same problem! This needs to be resolved ASAP!

    I have a 9900 ATT 7.1.0.342

    reboot your phone and outgoing audio will comeback, but after you use the shutup app you will need to reboot again.

    so while we wait for a fix that's the best advise I can give.

    yes developers please fix this problem. I just encountered it and am at least glad we have pinpointed the problem.

    After getting some positive feedbacks from some of you, we have submitted release 1.1.1 with a fix to mitigate/resolve the issue. We hope it should be available once approved.

    Got the update, it seems to work fine. I took a pic with it, then called a landline from my Blackberry and audio worked both ways. THANKS.

    for me can't validate the license, so i got stuck there, i did a re install of the previous version and i'm going to uninstall it, after i'll install the ota version again to see if not un installing the first time was the problem.

    the problem occurred after installation of 1.0.5. and the previous version was 1.0.3? (no license problem with 1.0.3).

    I didn't notice that there was a new version in APPworld

    Update: installed 1.1.1, this worked fine only once, so basically:

    I took a pic then on the menu selected "close".
    made a call (everything working fine).
    then I took another pic, on the menu selected "close".
    on the screen for a second showed a pink screen full of texts "shutup camera", and the showed the normal screen.
    made a call (now they cannot hear me).

    maybe in the new leaked version this will work ok?
