I have the new BB 9900 Touch. When the phone is out of the holster, it announces and reads my text messages and emails out loud. It does not announce phone calls. I tried changing my personal profile to stop any audio notifications. It also does in in Silent and Vibrate profile modes. Is there a way to shut this feature off?

Shutting off all Voice dialing, did not help either.

Any help is appreciated.

This is not a BlackBerry stock feature. You must have installed a 3rd party app that is doing it - perhaps the 1st RIM free "thank you" gift DriveSafe.ly?

Thank you for the response!!! The Vlingo app had the "Safe Reader" function turned on accidently. The touch screen is a little too touchy.
