- i wouldnt mind paying 150 for the phone on a 35 18 month contract.
thats on par with previous phones ive had, and a similar price to the latest high end phones.
I think your right, and more and it would be over priced, but then again ive been wanting this combination of keyboard and touch screen for years, so i think all costs will go out the window as i must have one regardless!05-02-11 08:35 AMLike 0 - If it comes out at $199 with contract, I use my last NE2 to net it at $169. If it is anything higher (such as $249), I might have to consider trading in my 9650. I think I can get a decent bit from RIM's tradein program. The folks at my local VZW franchise store said they could give me good trade value too.
But I like the idea of having the 9650 as a backup, just in case. Or potentially use it as a first smartphone for my wife at some point......05-02-11 10:15 AMLike 0 -
- im checking out BestBuy Mobile first before going through T-mobile... i know my contract is nowhere near up as i extended it to get the 9780
but after all the vids on this 9900 i cant help myself hahaha
im prob going to be stuck paying full price which would most likely be $499 but i can trade in the 9780 for about $160 +/- or sell it on ebay for more after wiping the phone hahaha so i'll get some of my money back
well worth it indeed
plus BestBuy Mobile phone insurance is better than Tmo's for $10 a month i get a brand new phone right out of the box rather than a refurb
If you are up for an upgrade may i suggest going to a BestBuy Mobile Store first every1 i know got a better deal with them and they take care of everything with whichever network your in.
((bbm thumbs up))05-03-11 10:05 AMLike 0 - On the AT&T side I think this will hit at $299 w/ 2 YR term or $599 without contract. Reason being that this is going to be HSPA+ and there is a little more buzz for this...

((bbm thumbs up))05-04-11 09:35 PMLike 0 - where the heck are you getting those numbers? AT&T has been releasing the 'premium' blackberries at 199 w/ 2 yr. AND now they are doing away with rebates on the top smartphones.05-05-11 08:12 AMLike 0
- Hopeful it is only 200 on contract as that is the only way I am getting one, which will push my bank.....
Kids first, lol!
Love to buy it off contract, especially since I am on Tmobile and all the ish with this merger crap going on, but don't have 500-600 smacks to even fathom such a thing.05-06-11 12:04 AMLike 0 - Wirefly historically has been pretty good on giving away BBs for free. I got my 9700 within a couple of months of release for free from them - with only a $35 activation charge. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed on picking this one up for free as well.05-09-11 11:36 AMLike 0
