Good Day Folks!

I recently got a replacement 9930 (refurbished) and the camera is taking hazy pictures. As i look at the camera lens cover, or whatever the "official" name for it is, is made of a different plastic than the original one was. There is no film attached to it, but it has a slight crack around the camera itself. I've seen ones on ebay and such, and all I want is a new lens cover that takes crystal clear pictures and I'm worried that one I buy off of EBay, will be the same way. Anybody have any insight or been thru this before. Thanks for your 2 cents!

Might want to take some pics and post them here.
The camera on the 99xx series is subpar in comparison with other flagship devices, and I have found the pics to be of much lesser quality than those on my 9810 and my 9860. Even my two year old 9650 takes better pictures than my 9900. However, if it's worse than usual, it may help to have folks here take a look.
I've never taken apart a phone, but there are many here who have.
My suggestion is to submit a sample picture and let folks tell you whether it's likely that the quality is what you're likely to get....before you take a phone apart....

If you're worried about eBay, try CNN. I've bought from them numerous times and never had a problem with their stuff.

All fake aftermarket Chinese parts, only way to get original parts is from another bold. I think I have a extra camera assembly from several defunct bold I purchased and disassembled, PM me.

definitely dont go to ebay for a camera lens cover most arrive scratched up or use bad quality plastic that is awfully 'foggy' unless you get a genuine part from an old 9900 which would most likely come as the entire back with the antenna attached minus the battery cover

I'll ask for more info. Was the refurbished one provided by your carrier to replace a broken phone? If so, reject it and ask for a better working refurbished replacement.
