I was able to get rid of it on my old 9700 but not sure how to do it on the new Bold. Is it even possible?

I meant the bar that shows 4G and signal strength etc. Just frees up more space on the screen.

Hhhmmm. I wouldn't count on it. Say bye to your clock, network signal, battery meter, WIFI, bluetooth, and hotspot icons.

That would be like removing you taskbar from your PC. Yes some of us can operate a PC like that. But the masses could not.

Its a temporary thing not a core system change. I believe on my old curve and bold you would hit "U" to toggle that bar on or off. So far that doesn't seem to work in OS7.

You cannot do this on OS 6 and OS 7. I wish we can re size that area for our own preference so you can make it thinner. Anyway it is not possible configure it on my OS 7.1.
