Im also sure parts wholesalers will be selling the replacement blank piece soon. It should be as easy to replace as the 9700 series was.

I am using a 9900 too. The brand name is not on metal like my 9800. So I'm a little unsure bcos the brand name on 9900 is on plastic.

Just tried the penny and caused a little too much scratching for my liking, so I stopped after removing the "S".
Guess I'm a "Roger" customer until the blank parts are available... - 08-22-2011, 03:02 PM #19

I just did it on my new 9900 lightly with a coin and it came right off with no scratching of the plastic underneath at all.
Im surprised how easily it came off actually. - 09-05-2011, 04:34 PM #22
Fingernail polish remover and a Qtip works like a charm, no scratches.

Tooth Paste will remove logo also! We use tooth paste at work to remove permanent markers from chalk boards at work! I used finger nail polish lightly and then applied tooth paste to get rid of the ghost image. She shined right up! I am so proud!
