I finally have had enough of my phone's issues and was told to back up my phone, just contacts, messages, bbm messages, and browser bookmarks then re install the OS (.241)...once it was up and running, i cant add my email accounts or connect to the internet..only on wi-fi!! anyone ever had this issue!?

Hi and welcome to the forums! When you have re-installed / re-loaded the O/s you have to re-register your BB device on your network provider. Doing this is pretty simple . . . click the options icon (looks like a wrench) in the search box type in Host Routing Table then click on the Host routing table option and once you are in the menu hit the blackberry key and select register now. Subsequently you may have to resend your service books as well. Cheers!

I know this might be a dumb question but have you done a reboot since restoring the phone. I dont mean after the reinstall of the OS but after retoring with your back up.

also, you did not mention wether or not you went into "Manage Connections" and checked the box next to your network. I know you probably did but just trying to eleiminate the obvious first...

yeah, that didnt even do it, it worked after i did the "service books" thing!! im hoping doing all this fixed my blackberry issues!! (fingers crossed)

lots!! the battery issue, my phone would be dead in like 5 hours. the battery also would get really warm. it always froze, like after a phone call or if i got a text message, the led light would blink but i wouldnt be able to open up my sms, and when id pull the battery to restart the phone all my messages from the day would be deleted my phone is about a week old

I had to reload my OS twice before mine was working right. Call Verizon have them give you BB tech supports phone number they helped me out a lot.
