    Question PTT on Verizon 9930

Aside from the option of going back to the latest Verizon official OS for my 9930, can anyone give me any helpful pointers on getting the Verizon PTT working on my 9930? I am currently running 7.1.0.355 but am missing being able to use the PTT app for working at the farm and communicating with my father in law. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Actually Mr. Smartypants, I didn't answer my own question.

If you had read it, you would see that I already know that the latest Verizon official OS is the other way to get the PTT working and I was asking for any other methods that would work.

    Have a great weekend!

Anyone that might have something helpful to post is most welcome to chime in. Thanks!

You did actually answer your question. If you load a build that Verizon did not officially release, than said Verizon functions do not work. No if's, and's, or but's.

If your father in law has a BlackBerry too you can use Beepus, an app that gives you PTT trough BBM voicenotes. Worth a try.

FIL doesn't have a bberry, just his trusty old Casio Boulder. I am now back down to 163 and using PTT with it. I figured there had to be some way to get PTT cods off this build and installed onto another version with everyone that routinely does that with other apps, etc... oh well!

Now crackberry is reporting that Vzw has released another 9930 update to bump the OS to 7.1.0.267 but my Bold is not finding it OTA... I'll try connecting to desktop software and check for updates there.
