Ok so here's my problem, hopefully someone has experienced this as well. Whenever I make a call on my 9900, I dial and hit send then my phone goes completely black, the call will go through but I am not able to hit anything on the screen such as hold or switch calls. I know that there is a proximity sensor on the face of the phone, but even if I move the phone away from my face it will still stay black. I did find that If I switch to speaker phone it will bring my screen back on, but once I take it off speaker, the screen is disabled again. Please let me know if anyone else is having this problem or possibly has a solution. Thanks!

This is a common issue for some.
Try a battery pull ( With phone on, pull out battery and wait 20-30 seconds and put back in)
If that doesn't help, upgrading to the new .474 OS might resolve the problem. It doesn't happen to me since I last updated to .440 and now .474
