    Hi there,

I have a 9900 from vodafone New Zealand (not sure if it was actually) and have been using sim card GSM.
I have just moved to Shanghai and wanted to see if it is possible to unlock it or do something to make it usable for a CDMA sim card.

    Thanks!

Welcome to CrackBerry! The 9900 is not a CDMA device, you need to use a GSM carrier. Also you need BlackBerry Internet Service to for it to work fully.

Hi Zocster, thanks a lot for your help. and there i thought the online websites for unlocking would have work.
oh just one more question, if i go and buy a Q10 would it be cdma and gsm? as i kind of need both.

    Thanks a lot!

Yes in a way, you need to get an unlocked sqn 2 model. Not sure how you will get the CDMA through China Telecom though?
