I have a few problems charging my 9900 through a USB port. I bought a Travel Adapter that has a USB port on it. The charging works sometimes, sometimes not. The specs is 5v @ 500mA but when I plug it in, it says that the charging rate is 1230 (supposed to be 500mA) when working OR 0 when not working. All these under the Engineering screen.
However, on my 9700, no such issues. Its always charging no matter what. It works on my travel adapter and also on my car charger but not my 9900. It will never work on my car charger and sometiems on my travel adapter.
Generally, no problem on a computer USB with or without Blackberry Desktop Software.
Its those cheapo after market and I know you'll blame on it because its a cheap BUT if its so, why is the 9700 or 9800 works so perfectly but not the 9900?
