I've been hearing that, too. Strange....

Also, the Torch was $450 online or over the phone, but $500 in the store. Talk about inconsistency!

$549CDN plus taxes on Rogers. They were hesitant to sell it to me on launch day without contract though.

I was debating getting this for $50 more than the Rogers branded one but then I was worried that because I have to unlock it, I could be SOOL if I had to return it. I'm going to wait for cnn to get the unbranded piece at the bottom for $6. Don't really care about the splash screen although admittedly it would be nice not to have one.

So outright for Verizon is $509 such a random price, I'm thinking of getting it on prepaid, cuz I have Tmobile and I don't get service at work so I'm thinking of getting the 9930 from Verizon and use it for prepaid. Maybe ill take a ride up to New Hampshire and it will be tax free haha
