I've been noticing pretty poor performance i'm on my 9900. I have to atleast reboot it once a day if not 2 or 3 times. i'm running 7.1.0.402. I've tried bunch shrunken and non shrunken OS. I have a terrible memory drain and the phone just locks up randomly. I have started deleting apps, but I'm going to list the apps I have left and if you guys know anything i dont, that'd be great!

xploding boxes
fightin' words
7Digital

First. How many MB do u have free? You are running a decent amount of apps. I'm running 7.1.163. I'm waiting for the VZW "official upgrade" later this month. Knock on wood I have no problems. From reading posts here I have learned that some folks are struggling with the leak .402. You may be better off down grading to .342. Those folks seem to enjoy that one. Hope that helps.

The BB apps I know and Beweather. The others I don't use. Others will post their opinions. From what i've read on CB.....I would downgrade to .342. To go from 150 to 60 something(app) is draining ur phone.

My 9930 pretty much runs smooth all the time but when it acts up I usually reload the OS and that takes care it.

Downgrade to .342. I had many issues with .402.
Like ESN said, OS reload will help.

Is anyone able to run the 'issues with device responsiveness' diagnostic tool? Whenever I 'test device responsiveness' the process halts because my available memory is 23% even when I am running only the base apps. Device memory is 120+. Not sure if this is unusual. Running the official Verizon OS, .163, but available memory was low going back to 7.0/day 1.

The only time I get hourglasses is when using app world. After a couple of minutes of browsing the phone actually freezes completely. I have to battery pull.
I got blisters on me fingers! from using Tapatalk.Crackberry super member with posting powers no one else has and sooper sekret identities. Or so I'm told.

That's a lot of apps! I would downgrade to 342 and give that a run. With all those apps and memory dropping from 150mb to 60mb something is draining your memory. I would reduce the number of apps if it were me.

haha what can i say, i enjoy my apps, should see my playbook! Ya i think ima wipe my phone, downgrade and then just download apps as i need them. I normally dont run more than one app at a time, so i'm wondering if ubersocial is draining the phone.

I have about twice the amount of apps you do and don't really have a memory issue unless I'm going to town on my phone doing things which sucks up the memory because I have a few apps open I am using. You could try clearing your cache every now and then and I do still reboot the phone using QL every few days to refresh the memory I can't seem to gain back otherwise.
It's not like you are running all those apps at once so it should only be a nominal loss.
I'm also on stock ATT 7.0 - 05-08-2012, 07:39 AM

exactly, i'm not running all those apps at once so they shouldn't really be draining that much. I've heard the browser and bbm drains a lot but i make an effort to close all the tabs on my browser when not using it.
