right above my track pad when you push it in you can see the little bit of plastic above it push up so it rises above the screen level.

Is anyone else having this problem? should i send my phone back?

Yeah I had that and returned it immediately. If you don't your finger will keep hitting it when using the trackpad or touchscreen and bother the heck out of you. You need to get one that is flush with the screen.
    dlob0099 and bobj66 like this.

my brother has the same 9930 and his is lifted off a bit too.
Its not that much but its noticable. I am just worried that with time it will get higher.

You should be ok but there will always be a slight lift to it.

At the risk of being extremely boring this is the most disappointing element of the 9900. RIM want 500 for this with it's airfix bits. HTC produce the horribly named Chacha for 200 and it is so much better made. RIM should be very ashamed.

HTCs are great devices but don't have what I like about the Bold. I've found that it takes me 2-4 RIM replacements to eventually get a well manufactured unit but I'm probably pickier than most.
