Pictures taken with 9900 - Real world

Since there are soo many questions regarding the camera on the 9900 i thought i would share some of the pictures i took with my new 9900 this past weekend at out company picnic is various light connections.

Personally i'm quite happy with them considering all posts about them.

Options : Digital zoom enabled, image stabilization off, image size large (2560x1920)

Video is in 640x480.. didn't check before i took it..

But but but it cant take super close up photos of my micro text that is crucial for my mega million dollar business.

Ok honestly, great shots. It is apparent that it overblows red but these types of images will be more that satisfactory for me. If I need anything else I have a DSLR that will fill the void. Thanks for posting!

Agreed with dig - I've grown more than content taking 'random' pics with my phone, and this camera looks to do an EXCELLENT job with that...for more 'important' moments, there's a REAL camera for that...

Indeed! from all the horrific pics taken before. I guess some people just don't know how to hold a phone straight and snap a decent photo

The red on his face is because we are in a red bouncer and the sun is reflecting on everything.. The walls are even red so the light is coming through makes everything red inside

Looks really good! Cute kids as well.

Only thing I see here is that the 9900 does tend to over saturate the colors in the pictures quite heavily. That helps a bit with the crispness loss due to fixed focus.

Most of my phone pictures are impromptu and I think these images show the quality will be just fine for that. For everything else, the Elph 100HS is a great little pocket shooter.

The red Head is my son (14 months) and the girl is a co-workers.. they are three weeks apart and figured i would snap some shots to see how bad it really was after all the posts i saw.

I was on an iphone 4 and it does take nice photos, but these look on par to me..

I'm sold on this phone.. i was waiting for the 9860, but i fell in love with this. looks like i will begin upgrading our BES users soon.

I also grabbed the torch but after playing with it for 5 minutes i went back to this phone and well, i love it.. I was sold on the touch screen keyboards since the iphone 3g but this is just so easy to use.. Lots of people are thinking of picking this phone up after showing them it

Thanks for posting this. You can see individual strands of hair in the close up shots. One can not expect more, if I need more I will take one of my many cameras. I like a quality camera on my phone because it's always with me, I was worried after reading all the other posts but these photos are so good I'm no longer worried.

Thanks for the great pix! I had my doubts on the camera but I feel the ones who posted BAD SHOTS just wanted to talk crap. Every camera takes bad pix. That's why you snap another pic till you're happy with it LOL. I can't wait for my Bold 9930!

wow those pics are amazing way better then what i've eve got with my curve 9300, everyone had be worried but im glad to see it was just how other people took there shots, personally i only use my camera for FB, BBM so it wasn't a huge deal if the camera was all that bad just so long as it was better then my curve and it looks as if it's 100% better very glad thanks, cute kid
